WINNETKA – Six art students have been selected to represent New Trier High School at the 2016 Illinois High School Art Exhibition. This show features the best art from 100 Chicago-area public and private schools. Area high schools come together to celebrate the diversity of city and suburban high school artists, unifying the arts through a common goal, experience, and perspective.
The exhibition opened Feb. 19 at the Zhou B Art Center, located at 1029 W. 35th Street in Chicago, and features over 500 high school art works. This exhibit is open to the public during gallery hours. The mission of the 3rd Annual Illinois High School Art Exhibit is to reinforce the importance of art education at the high school level.
There will be an awards ceremony at the Zhou Center at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 6th. The exhibit closes that evening at 6 p.m.
