WILMETTE – Someone smashed the driver’s window of a vehicle parked at Loyola Academy, 1100 Laramie Avenue, between 10:31 and 10:35 a.m. on Sept. 24. Stolen items included a purse containing $20, a driver’s license and credit cards. The purse was in plain view, according to the Wilmette Police Department.
Shortly after before that incident, someone smashed the driver’s window of a car parked at Fellowship Church, 3636 Illinois Road, stealing a purse that had in it $140, a check book and credit cards. The purse was in plain view, the police stated in their weekly incident report.
Later that night at 930 Hunter Road, between 8 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 3 a.m. on Sept. 25, an unlocked vehicle was entered without permission, but nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
